The Artist
Sculpture as a quiet act
of devotion.
I am a professional artist and sculptor with more than eight years of practice, trained in the rigorous master-craft tradition of Latvia. Every work on this site is created and hand-painted by me, in dialogue with the enduring language of classical antiquity.

Background
A master trained in the old way.
In 2014 I graduated as a master from the professional craftsmen schools of Latvia. Of sixty-two students admitted to the program, only seven completed the journey. That education gave me more than technique — it gave me patience, precision, and a lasting respect for material.
All works on Sculpture Bay are created and hand-painted by me personally. I specialise in sculpture inspired by classical antiquity and museum aesthetics, combining timeless forms with a contemporary visual language.
Value
Hand-painted originals
No two works are identical. Each surface is finished by hand, layer by layer, until the tone and texture feel true.
Value
Classical discipline
Forms drawn from antiquity, refined through years of study and an insistence on proportion, balance, and quiet presence.
Value
Curated collection
Alongside my own sculpture, I select distinctive objects of artistic value from my private collection for acquisition.
Studio
Where objects acquire their character.
The studio is a space for slow decisions. Clay is shaped, surfaces are refined, colour is applied and reconsidered. Each piece is signed only when it can hold its own in a room — still, resolved, and complete.
